Tryout Information

  • For tryouts, your daughter should bring necessary paperwork, wear appropriate volleyball attire, and have a water bottle
  • If a player is uncertain about joining a club, they can purchase a Tryout membership first, and later upgrade to an annual membership if they join a team
  •  A printout of her NCVA membership is requested for tryouts
  • The NCVA is the local chapter of the USA Volleyball Association, organizing tournaments and ensuring adherence to standards
  • Arrive 30-45 minutes early for tryouts to complete registration
  • Parents can watch tryouts and attend a parent meeting for questions
  • Teams consist of 9-12 players, and not everyone makes a team
  • Coaches contact players after tryouts to offer spots
  • Inform the club of your intentions within 1 hour of being offered a spot
  • After making a team, club meetings will take place to discuss the upcoming season, uniform sizing, team pictures, and parent/player meetings with directors
  • Verbal commitments to another club are not binding, but signing a commitment letter commits your athlete to that club for the season
